Think the naming of your home WIFI network falls under freedom of speech?
by Cito on Jan.20, 2012, under News
Well think again…
Police in Teaneck, New Jersey, with apparently too much time on their hands, are investigating an offensive wireless network name. Although the police didn’t reveal the name, the New York Daily News reports that it was anti-Semitic and racist in nature. The incident is being investigated as a possible ‘bias crime.’ It’s definitely not what proper people do, but a ‘bias crime?
Sounds very Orwellian ’1984′ “thought-crime-ish”

FBI website crippled by Anonymous led retaliation to Megaupload raid
by Cito on Jan.19, 2012, under News
Anonymous have raided many government sites and taking them down as a response to Megaupload being taken down.

Megaupload’s info: http://torrentfreak.com/megaupload-shut-down-120119/
FBI website crippled by Anonymous led retaliation to Megaupload raid
The websites for the US Department of Justice and Universal Music Group were among the first to go, with the sites for US Copyright Office, Warner Music, BMI, and RIAA following suit shortly after. At around 7:40 PM ET, FBI.gov finally went down.
Ongoing attacks have also been waged against WhiteHouse.gov, the official site for the Executive Branch of the United States.
“It was in retaliation for Megaupload,” Barrett Brown confirms to RT. A frequent collaborator with Anonymous, he is mastermind a separate campaign aimed at attacking Congressman that support the SOPA and PIPA legislations.

Looking for the Goodies?

Greetings from “Shang”
Looking for movies, tv, and more?
You can find me and many others at Icefilms.
http://icefilms.info main site has all you’d ever need, you can use the ice script for greasemonkey plugin for firefox/chrome. Or click view source and get it straight from megaupload/2shared.
In the forums section you’ll find me as “cito”
Here is a link directly to the Icefilms Forums: http://forum.icefilms.info/
Hoping AFN returns, which is on a different host I believe. If AFN reopens you will find “Shang” there. Until then feel free to bookmark my site here, or private message me over on icefilms forums.
Also to add, Icefilms is getting heavy traffic at the moment with the controversy around megaupload going on. Don’t worry there’s over hundred other file sites, like 2shared/4shared/etc, if icefilms doesn’t load right away just refresh. It’s getting a ton of traffic.

Carrier IQ and what it’s doing
by Cito on Dec.06, 2011, under News
Recently Carrier IQ has made it big in the news in the world of mobile devices. Recently Apple released statement that Carrier IQ is not being supported on iOS 5.0+ which can be read here: http://allthingsd.com/20111201/apple-we-stopped-supporting-carrieriq-with-ios-5/
But many are curious what is Carrier IQ actually doing on their mobile devices, from Apple to Android devices. Recently Trevor Eckhart released a very interesting video showing exactly what is going on in the background when buttons are pushed, numbers dialed, even “supposedly” encrypted https is being sent, Carrier IQ process is seen intercepting everything.
It goes into detail showing exactly what Carrier IQ process is seeing during “Part 4 – Watching Carrier IQ watch us” section of the following video approximately 8:34 seconds in.
For further information on what Carrier IQ is doing you can visit: http://androidsecuritytest.com/features/logs-and-services/loggers/carrieriq/carrieriq-part2/

by Cito on Nov.08, 2011, under Music, Youtube
Métisse – Boom Boom Ba
From the 2000 Album My Fault
Métisse is an Irish/African Soul/Electronica band, formed by former Chapter House member Skully, and Aïda, a singer/choreographer from Côte d’Ivoire. They formed in Toulouse, France. The band’s name is the French word for ‘mixture’, and its music is a mix of African, Celtic, soul and electronic music. Song lyrics often feature a mixture of Dioula, English and French words.
The band achieved initial success with the single “Sousoundé”. Its next hit, “Boom Boom Bâ” was the featured title track in Madonna’s film The Next Best Thing and was played several times in the Showtime TV series Dead Like Me. It is also in heavy rotation on the international radio program ‘Coast to Coast AM’, whenever founder Art Bell makes one of his rare appearances. In addition, “Nomah’s Land” was played in the Dead Like Me second season episode “The Shallow End”.
Métisse’s music has been licensed for numerous television, film productions and advertising campaigns. They have two albums, My Fault and Nomah’s Land, though their music has been licensed for several compilation discs
